The Toad is best paired with a high gear ratio baitcaster reel (7.2:1 or higher). It also works great with spinning rods, and a gear ratio of 6.3:1 is an excellent start for spinning combos!

first time used the mutant toad i was kind of confused because the action of the bait was something that takes time to learn you can’t reel to slow or to fast but i will say that the mutant toad definitely lives up to the hype in the first hour of fishing i did great in our grass filled farm pond only complaints that i have is that the plastic tears very fast and sometimes the bait spins instead of that tail kicking action im 17 and a avid fisherman i would be honored to be sponsored by yall over in florida -jorge 956 🤙

Bass explode on these things. At first they kept spitting it out or I was snatching to early but finally landed a nice bass along with another smaller one right after
